Oftentimes our negative beliefs about ourselves can prevent personal growth and can lead to emotional suffering. People can get stuck in these patterns that disrupt their lives and relationships. My office is a welcoming space where we can work together to get un-stuck. You are the expert in your own life, but I can help you work toward your goals and emotional health.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English. Following that, I completed my Master of Science in Counseling, focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy, at California State University-Long Beach. I am trained in EMDR and prolonged exposure, two specific therapies for trauma. I am also trained in ecotherapy, and love working with clients in in the natural world and at local parks.

Originally from Minnesota, I have lived in California and traveled extensively around the world. I have two kids and two cats named Eevee and Sunny, who occasionally join my telehealth sessions as my HIPAA-compliant business associates. I identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and am actively involved in social justice issues, because I believe therapy extends beyond the therapy room and into the systems that surround us.

In my ample free time (hah!) I love to hike and read and listen to music. I can’t wait to meet you!

For couples struggling with repeated negative patterns or disconnection, I hope you take the risk and get busy fighting for what you have instead of fighting one another. I have experience with ADHD in couples, neurodivergent parenting, working with therapists, and new parents. I enjoy working with men, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals, and strive for fairness between partners. The goal is building awareness, deep listening, enhancing the positive (have more fun!) and for you to meet your partner in reality, as equals, in each other's care. "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" — Mary Oliver

My approach is compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental. I have experience raising children and stepchildren. I have EFT Training (emotionally focused therapy) and work with the Gottman method. I integrate other approaches eclectically because I passionate about individualization. “Perfection is not the price of love. Practice is." - Dr. John Gottman

I love to connect with unique families. Let’s get you the life you deserve. Many things are possible with a curious mindset and approach. You and your family are worth investing in. In difficult times, we need better relationships. The first step is honest, open communication. I can help facilitate a safe space for deeper connection.
