My Approach

I use a collaborative approach to guide you to a better understanding of yourself and ridding your life of harmful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors for good. You are the expert in your own life, but I can help you work toward your goals and emotional health.

I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and feminist theory to work with a variety of symptoms. I am also trained in EMDR and prolonged exposure therapy for trauma.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based and effective treatment for trauma. Sometimes traumatic memories get stored differently in our brains than regular memories and get stuck, which negatively changes our views about ourselves, others, and the world. EMDR works by using bilateral stimulation (i.e., alternating eye movements or taps) and memories to shift our perspective and reduce distress around the traumatic memory.
